Jason Spray is the Owner and President of ProTect Painters of West Richmond. After 15 years in corporate sales, client relations, and project management roles, Jason opened the doors of ProTect Painters in 2018. From day one, the mission has been simple: beautify RVA one project at a time by delivering a premier painting experience driven by quality craftsmanship and outstanding customer service. Jason grew up on the plains of Enid, Oklahoma and along the shores of Mobile Bay in Daphne, Alabama. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Management from Samford University in 1996, followed by a Juris Doctor from the University of Alabama School of Law in 2000, where he also passed the Alabama Bar Exam. He completed his formal education in 2001 with a Master’s degree in Sport Management from the United States Sports Academy. Jason began his corporate career with Thomson Reuters Legal in 2003, spending nearly a decade in sales and account management roles supporting law firm and law school clients nationwide. In 2013, he joined Kaplan Higher Education, where he supported joint venture partnerships with law schools across the country to create, launch, and grow online legal degree programs. Throughout his career, Jason consistently focused on leadership, communication, and delivering exceptional client experiences. That same philosophy is at the core of ProTect Painters of West Richmond—providing a professional, clean, and detail-oriented painting experience from the initial estimate through the final walk-through, while making the process as smooth and enjoyable as possible for both clients and crews. When Jason isn’t on a job site or speaking with clients, he’s likely spending time with his wife, Meredith—watching his beloved Oklahoma Sooners (or her beloved Alabama Crimson Tide), grilling in the backyard, enjoying a visit to the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, or relaxing on the beach with a good book. Kevin Bomar joined the ProTect Painters team in the fall of 2022, bringing strong leadership skills and hands-on managerial experience to every project. He grew up in Orange Park, Florida, where he spent much of his time working with his hands and tackling projects of all sizes. Kevin began developing his leadership foundation while serving in the United States Army, where he learned the importance of discipline, teamwork, and accountability. After his service, he continued to build his management experience with O’Reilly Auto Parts before moving into a role with a professional drag racing team, where he managed critical manufacturing processes, quality control, and team coordination. As Director of Residential Project Operations, Kevin works closely with homeowners from the first conversation through project completion to ensure a smooth, well-organized, and high-quality paintingexperience. He helps clients understand their options, sets clear expectations, and ensures each project is properly planned and staffed so work begins on time and runs efficiently. By staying closely connected to both clients and crews, Kevin helps ensure every residential project is completed with attention to detail, strong communication, and results homeowners can feel confident about. Kevin resides in Powhatan, Virginia. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his girlfriend, Marley, her son Taygen, and their puppy, Harley. You’ll often find him outdoors or in the garage, working on his drag racing program or taking his hot rod out for a cruise when the weather cooperates.

Leo Santos joined the ProTect Painters team in the winter of 2025 as a Project Manager, bringing hands-on management experience and a strong customer-first mindset to every project. He is currently pursuing a degree in Business Management, further strengthening his leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Prior to joining ProTect Painters, Leo gained management experience in the flooring industry, where he developed a solid understanding of project coordination, timelines, and quality control. This background allows him to approach each job with careful attention to detail while keeping client needs and expectations at the forefront. As a Project Manager, Leo works closely with clients and crews to coordinate schedules, address concerns, and deliver finished projects that meet the highest standards of quality and professionalism. His goal on every job is to create a positive, stress-free experience while bringing each client’s vision to life. The most important step homeowners can take to prepare for a project is making the work area as accessible as possible. For interior projects, removing items from walls and moving furniture toward the center of the room allows crews to work efficiently and safely. For exterior projects, trimming back bushes or limbs and clearing outdoor furniture from work areas helps ensure a smooth start. If assistance is needed, our crews are always happy to help when possible. Outside of work, Leo enjoys spending time with his girlfriend, Larissa. He can often be found hiking, camping, or fishing, as well as relaxing with movies, video games, or a good card or board game with friends.
